The NRA Wins Again

This will not surprise anyone who follows these things: fear of terrorism and hatred of the man in the White House are driving gun sales in this country to yet another record level.

The Times has all the sad details.

As I wrote yesterday about the stupid jamokes in Oregon, the terror this inspires is precisely the terror you feel when you see a toddler playing with Daddy's Glock.  And every time I post something along these lines, I get whines that go, "...but what about all the responsible gun owners?!?"

My answer is, get your lobby off their single-minded mission to drive gun sales, and have them start supporting some regulations we can all agree on.  I'm looking at both of you.
