Some thoughts on prayers

This came out after Fukushima, but it continues to be right time after time...

I totally want a t-shirt that says, "Prayer! It's almost like doing something."

And the prayers after Pulse are especially offensive:

Because unlike a tsunami or a tornado, Congress has always had the power to do something about the fire-hose of bullets we allow mentally unstable people to spray across the innocent.

Congressional "prayers" go out on cue, but their real object of worship is the NRA and its money and its power to destroy (Bonus points: who remembers the line, "Shall I put you down for a million postcards, Senator?" No fair googling it)

Finally: someone who's even more pissed-off than I am about it.
