The Perils of Dinner
Maybe I ate a little too much. Just came back from a great dinner. A lovely piece of steak, grilled perfectly. A very nice Cabernet. Everything was so good.

How can I let this happen? With the End of Civilization just 13 days away? I have to stay sharp, stay focused, stay hungry!
But the next four years are going to be a marathon, not a sprint. We're only going to restore the forward progress of humanity - or at least retard the backslide - if we take care of ourselves. We can only take care of others if we take care of ourselves.
Self-care, even the occasional self-indulgence, is not a failure. Its restorative qualities enable more good.
