"Is It Because of That Song?"

At a BarCamp a few years ago, I had the chance to attend a talk by a woman (oh, I wish I could remember or retrieve her name!) who had been the PR Director of Kodak on the day they announced the final end of production for Kodachrome.

She told about taking a few of the phone calls that came in that day from displeased members of the public. One conversation she related to us had gone something like this:

Are you a full-time photographer? I am a serious hobbyist! OK, fine.  Do you shoot Kodachrome? Not currently Is there any Kodachrome in your film fridge? No... there isn't. So why are you so upset?  Is it because of that song? . . .
