Insane Person Tried to Shoot Up Thalys - You Won't Believe What Happened Next

apologies for the clickbait headline but I could not resist 

According to this report from France24 two US servicemen and a physical therapy student were traveling together from Amsterdam to Paris on the TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse, French for "very fast train") [corrected 2015-08-24 to Thalys, a similar service to TGV but not the same operator].  When the Moroccan with an AK-47 entered their car and prepared to shoot, they rushed him.  They knocked the rifle away but he had a boxcutter (yes, a boxcutter) and injured one of them.  Still, they were able to beat him unconscious and restrain him until police arrived.

Wayne LaPierre, of the National Death Eaters Rifle Association likes to say, the solution for a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.   As always, Wayne is wrong.  The solution for a bad guy with a gun is a good guy.  Full stop.
