I have been beating a drum for everyone to watch Better Things, which I think is currently the second best of a really good crop of TV shows available now.

Second?  Yes.  I have no doubt that the best thing on TV right now is The Good Place

Is it a sitcom?  Or an undergrad-level course in ethics and moral philosophy?

Does it matter?

Note to regular viewers: does the Medium Place being so sparsely occupied, and by someone so annoying, possibly suggest that we set our bar for "good" a little bit high?  No matter, it's not like we're regularly clearing it.
