Masha Gessen says, believe the autocrat.  And yes that is what we have now in the USA, an autocracy.  The Constitution and the law is just so much toilet paper to these guys.  The forms of democracy will be observed as far as they find convenient, and surely not in any substantive way that will damage their ability to loot the Treasury.

Take him seriously but not literally, they said.  Well, bullshit. He did it.  It's probably illegal but it's unlikely that he cares.

What he promised, literally.  Chaos and death.  That's what he brings us unless we resist and repel.
