Last year I quit all support of the NFL, pending them making some progress on showing that they are capable of considering women as full-status humans. Admittedly, I only did this after the Ray Rice mess shoved the misogyny of professional* football into my face so hard it was leaking out the back of my neck. I said I would go back when the league demonstrated some kind of contrition about how it has been, or at least a credible change of direction.
I don't think this retreat to a Mad Men-era view of how women and professional football can relate to one another is quite filling the bill. In fact, the morning after a GOP candidates' debate over who hates women the most, I think the winner might just be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers!
* - "professional" football includes NFL, NCAA and, in Texas or Pennsylvania, high school varsity.
