Bang for your Buck

What would you do with exactly $1.00?

A piece in the Dallas Morning News asked this question of a couple dozen people and got some mundane answers, and some that are out-there.

I liked the treasure map idea, and the cup of cheap coffee for someone you admire so you can pick their brain for half an hour.

But I would actually buy a Lotto ticket.  Now everyone will say, David, you actually know some math, don't you know that is a crappy investment?

It's not an investment.  It's buying possibility of winning an obscene amount of money.  Any possibility (P > 0.00) is enough to give the enjoyment of contemplating the possibility.  That alone is entertainment worth far more than $1, especially at today's entertainment prices.
