I first blogged about this five years ago. And here it is again. The 30th edition of the World Rec.Gambling Poker Tournament is under way. Yep, 544 people have sat down to a poker game... via email.
No real money is at stake, and that's a good thing. The security of email still has more holes than a loofah. And yes, it's kind of a throwback. Email, after all, is "texting for old people."
Although... the player list is mostly pseudonyms... so... who knows?
It still reminds me of how I met my beautiful wife, Jill. So I still play. So does Jill, and typically better than I.
