Tay Away

Twitter taught Tay, Microsoft's research chatbot, to be a racist asshole in less than 24 hours.

On Wednesday, Microsoft launched a chatbot called Tay.  The idea was, they took an AI-powered chatbot and set it to start learning more and more about how to talk to humans by talking to humans.    Unfortunately, some humans are Trump supporters, and more sadly, they took to their new "student" with vigor.

Soon Tay was tweeting crap like,

and the rather puzzling

No word on whether Microsoft plans to shut Tay down or run it for Governor of North Carolina.
