What's scary about Trump is, he has correctly identified that the Presidential election is now a reality TV show, and that the way to win a reality TV show is to go right to bottom-feeder territory.

And what riper orchard to harvest can there be than the Republican base?  For at least eight and truly more like fifty years, they have been cultivating the forces of hatred, racism and ignorance.  And here is the apotheosis of hatred, racism and ignorance, right in their mirror.  They built themselves an abyss and now it's staring back at them and laughing.  May the rest of the country survive this hard lesson being learned by its rabid-right wing.
