Richard Milhous Pumpkin
Getting rid of Nixon, finally, in 1974 was great for the country. It set back Republican troglodyte-ism for a couple of decades. Important breathing room for a lot of communities that would have been smothered.
But this is different. Getting rid of this lunatic is now an emergency, in ways getting rid of Nixon never was.

It's something of a gift, that he has made the classic move of firing -- in a snit -- a major official who was investigating him for felonious conduct. But not just felonious: treasonous. In a way that Nixon would never have been capable of.
The sooner gone the better, and the crippling of the GOP agenda will be a bonus.
