Questions for my Answers
Henry Kissinger once opened a press conference by saying,
Does anyone have any questions for my answers?
Well, you can't say he wasn't prepared.
But he was also clearly holding that press conference just for show. I think we can trust that if a question did not suit one of the prepared answers, it was going to be ignored. Or he would pretend that the question asked did indeed suit a prepared answer, and deliver that answer. He could have just issued a statement, but a fake press conference seems so much more transparent.
I have, in my life, dealt with people who answer the questions they wish I would ask instead of the questions I actually ask. This is, um, not my favorite thing.
