Jinx?

As fans of the Orioles and the Cubs, it's hard to feel like it's safe to watch the team when they are doing well.  it always feels like that's when they fall apart.

No question that it's a matter of selective memory... if you draw quadrants of watch/don't watch fail/don't fail, the watch-fail quadrant will sting the most, and so will be remembered the longest.

It's enough to make you feel like you jinx the team by turning on the game!  But as for jinxing, we are rank amateurs.

So, I watch.  It's way more fun in the long run.
