30 Day Challenge

I have been having fun with this on Pluspora, a Diaspora pod. I never really expected to get into this but it has kind of taken on a life of its own. And I get to share with dozen of readers, a detailed look at my musical tastes. Who doesn't love doing that?

This and the next two entries will run down my choices. I think a lot of these are obvious choices, but then I am a music fan - not a scholar.

Day #1 A song you like with a color in the title:

Day #2 A song with a number in the title.

This one was easy-peasy-lemon-squeezie.

Not even close. (I was saving "Jenny" for another category, by the way.)

I saw them in concert in Dec 1977. They did this song on the apron of the stage, just an acoustic guitar and a bass drum.

Day #3 A song that reminds me of summertime

I deliberately shied away from Summertime Blues and Summer in the City and so on. Just wanted it to be a little more… elliptical. The day described in the Van Morrison song doesn’t have to have been in the summer… but you know it was.
